Nicholas A. Bernardo, CFP ®
Family Wealth Advisor + Managing Partner
Nick began working in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch in 2006, joining his father, Tony, and sister, Rose, in what was then called The Bernardo Group. As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Nick builds long-lasting relationships with clients as he takes them through the process of planning to help secure their financial futures. He specializes in financial and estate planning; he also manages Bernardo Wealth Planning’s overall business and is responsible for the growth of the Bernardo team. Graduating with Dean’s List honors, Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Juniata College. Born in Worcester, Pennsylvania, he returned after college to make his home in Lederach with his wife, Trinda, and children, Isabella, Nicholas, Jr., and Savannah. In addition to spending his free time playing golf and volleyball, Nick is an active member of the Indian Valley Country Club and the Christopher Dock High School Golf Committee.
Tony’s wealth of experience in financial services stretches from 1980 to today. His four decades as a trusted financial advisor span long stints at both Morgan Stanley, where he was selected to the Chairman’s Club, and Merrill Lynch, where he was selected to the Charles E. Merrill Circle and the Summit Club. His commitment to his clients is one of sustained integrity; his work is dedicated to serving their needs, from the present day through future generations. Tony’s areas of concentration are wealth management and financial planning. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Tony earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University. He and his wife, Joann — residents of Worcester, Pennsylvania, since 1987 — are proud parents to three grown children, Rose, Nick, and John, and six grandchildren. A member of the Indian Valley Country Club and an avid golfer, Tony serves on its golf committee and is an alumni coordinator for Theta Chi Fraternity, Omega chapter. When he’s not working, he also enjoys skiing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Rose’s experience as a financial advisor dates to 2004, when the Bernardo team began to take shape at Merrill Lynch through a seamless blend of her father’s expertise and Rose’s drive for excellence in financial planning. Selected to membership in Merrill’s Executive Club is 2007, Rose enjoys combining her strong knowledge of finance with her personal dedication to helping clients achieve their goals. As a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, she strives to take the time to develop and nurture personal relationships, understanding clients’ goals in order to formulate a plan designed to address each area of risk, and ultimately achieve those goals together. A resident of Lederach, Pennsylvania, Rose earned her degree from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial/organizational psychology and business. When not working, Rose enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and children, Anthony and Madeline, and participating with family and friends in activities she loves such as entertaining, cooking and traveling.
For more than two decades, Noreen has developed extensive knowledge and capabilities in various roles throughout the financial services industry. She began her career at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, moved to Merrill Lynch in 1995, and in 2003 joined the Bernardo team, which moved in 2009 to Morgan Stanley. She takes pride in providing Bernardo’s clients with personalized financial care and education; as a result of her attention, clients receive superior problem-solving along with an extraordinary degree of understanding. Noreen contributes to Bernardo Wealth Planning as a registered client associate and serves as the firm’s notary public. A native of Philadelphia, Noreen, along with her husband, Brian, and their children, Brandon and Ashley, have called Quakertown home since 2002. Extremely community-minded, she consistently volunteers at her children’s schools and helps raise funds for various causes, including the effort to find a cure for breast cancer. In her spare time, Noreen enjoys the company of her family and friends, reading, and playing with her children.
Jackie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Chestnut Hill College in 2009. She began her career as a financial Advisor at Penn Mutual, and then transitioned to a client service role with the investment management firm Brinker Capital in 2011. Jackie’s professional successes and experience in building and maintaining long-term relationships reinforces our capacity to both grow externally and to nurture durable and constructive partnerships with our clients. Her energy, professionalism, reliability, and dedication to our clients and their goals epitomizes the Bernardo mindset that underlies everything we do. Originally from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Jackie now resides in Upper Coventry. Out of the office, she spends the majority of her time with Will and their son, Liam. Jackie is one for the outdoors, enjoying horseback riding, sailing, and skiing in her free time.
Lance began working in the financial services industry with a large regional bank in 2014 before moving to Stifel in the fall of 2015. As a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional, Lance strives to build lasting relationships with his clients as he walks them through the financial planning process. Lance specializes in retirement, education, and estate planning. Growing up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Lance attended Ursinus College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business & Economics with a minor in Spanish. Lance currently lives in Phoenixville with his wife Aoife. In addition to being an avid outdoorsman, Lance enjoys traveling to new places with his wife and experiencing new cultures. Lance is also the chairman of the board for the Bucks County chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Matt began his career in financial services in 2001 after graduating from Goshen College with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to join Whipple & Associates/MassMutual in 2004 and became their Director of Financial Planning in 2007. He worked with the firm’s business and Estate team, helping owners integrate their business with their personal finances. In 2012, Matt began his own wealth management and financial planning practice.
Matt resides in Telford, Pennsylvania with his wife and their three children. He enjoys music, golf, the beach and taking his kids to parks and playgrounds. Matt is active in the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce as a member of the Ambassadors Committee and founder of their Young Professionals Network. Additionally, he attends Blooming Glen Mennonite Church and is active with church leadership and its rich music program.
Susan E. Fisher, CFP®, CGPA is a trusted and experienced financial planner with an extensive track record of helping high net worth families and individuals manage their assets with confidence. As a Family Wealth Advisor, she works closely with clients on planning and executing optimal strategies to protect and grow their wealth. Her enthusiasm, expertise, and high ethical standards all promote long-lasting professional relationships.
Fisher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Houghton College and a Master’s degree in education from Chestnut Hill College. She also graduated with highest honors from PA Bankers Trust and Wealth Management School.
Susan is a Certified Financial Planner and has passed her Series 6, 7, and 63 exams, and she also holds her PA Life and Health Insurance License. Susan has three adult children and lives with her husband, Nick, in Telford. She loves travel, biking and photography. Fisher is a member of several notable Boards of Directors, including the Bucks County Estate Planning Council and the North Penn YMCA.
After graduating from Goshen College with a degree in Math Education, John taught math for two years in the Central Bucks School District. In 1984, John joined Lacher & Associates, where he has worked with business owners to manage risk and to keep their organizations healthy.
John has been active in the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). He serves on the board of RamPacks, an organization that provides food to children in the Pennridge School District who face food insecurity.
John lives in Blooming Glen, Pennsylvania with his wife, Sheryl. He has two married daughters and four grandchildren. John & Sheryl are active members of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.
